Development of A Nano-Apatite Based Composite Sealer for Endodontic Root Canal Filling

چکیده
Recently, endodontic sealers based on injectable bioactive materials were proposed to improve the filling of anatomical irregularities during root canal obturation. In this context, preliminary work investigated possibility realizing a new calcium phosphate-based composite sealer for with an optimized composition setting kinetics and dentin tubules occlusion. Several phosphate/liquid phase mixtures initially evaluated their workability, finding two suitable formulations. Both them contained 66 wt.% nano-apatite-based cement (solid powdered phase). The liquid (34 wt.%) comprised 13.6% propanediol 20.4% PEG 1000 (formulation 1), formulation 2 27.2% glycerin 6.8% 200 2). Then, these formulations tested by means permeability measurements observation scanning electron microscopy treated model samples. succeeded in occluding dentinal tubules: first one was able create full-bodied layer surface and, moreover, resist, at least large extent, against citric acid attack. second showed lower effectiveness after exposure. compound that better satisfied overall required characteristics use, workability sealing capacity 1.

Effectiveness of a silicon-based root canal sealer for filling of simulated lateral canals.
The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the ability of a silicon-based root canal sealer, compared to zinc oxide and eugenol and an epoxy resin-based sealers, for filling of simulated lateral canals. Thirty extracted single-rooted human teeth were selected, conventional access was made and the working length was established 1 mm from the apical foramen. Three simulated lateral canals...

OBJECTIVES To present a case of endodontic failure obturated with a methacrylate-based root filling material, Resilon/RealSeal (RS). To determine if RS is susceptible to biodegradation by endodontically relevant microbes by a method known to show RS degradation. METHOD AND MATERIALS Emulsions of RS were dispersed in agar with minimal bacterial nutrients in culture plates. Lipase PS served as ...

INTRODUCTION The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the cytotoxicity of a new nano zinc-oxide eugenol (NZOE) sealer on human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs) compared with Pulpdent (micro-sized ZOE sealer) and AH-26 (resin-based sealer). METHODS AND MATERIALS The Pulpdent, AH-26, and NZOE sealers were prepared and exposed to cell culture media immediately after setting, and 24 h and one we...

Achieving extreme hardness in the newly synthetic steel formed by converting from initial amorphous state to subse-quent crystalline structure –named as devitrification process- was studied in this research work. Results of TEM observa-tions and XRD tests showed that crystallized microstructure were made up four different nano-scale phases i.e., α-Fe, Fe 36 Cr12 Mo10 , Fe 3 C and Fe3 B. More, V...
متن کاملEndodontic Retreatment of a Maxillary First Molar with Unusual Palatal Root Canal Morphology: A Case Report
Introdouction: Variations in root canal morphology pose a challenge for successful endodontic treatment. The root canal anatomy of the maxillary first molar has been often described as three roots with four canals (two mesiobuccal, one distobuccal, and one palatal). The occurrence of two palatal canals in one palatal root is quite rare. This report represents the case of a maxillary first molar...
